Werdegang
Berufserfahrung von Guillaume Lemercier
- Bis heute 17 Jahre und 4 Monate, seit Feb. 2008Polyphor Ltd
Laboratory Head – Biological assay development and Screening
•Successfully developed more than 80 different cell-based, biomolecular and enzymatic screening assays for different classes of therapeutic targets (Receptor pathways, Immune checkpoints, Enzymes, GPCR, ion channels...) including hit characterization and optimization. •Involved in all external collaborations as key representative of the biology group in joint meetings. •Directly managed 3-5 associates in their daily work in assay development, biophysical methods, phage-display and protein expression.
- 1 Jahr und 6 Monate, Juli 2006 - Dez. 2007
Senior Post-doctoral Researcher, Screening and Cellular Pharmacology Dpt.
Merck KGaA - Merck Serono
• Achieved objective: Identification of active small molecules hitting target proteins with high potency and selectivity for the treatment of infectious diseases. • Successfully developed automated high-throughput assays using several screening technologies for various targets (kinase, protease, phosphatase and others), • Ran HTS, confirmed positives, generated dose response curves, molecular MOA and optimized hits in close collaboration with the medicinal chemists.
- 2 Jahre und 1 Monat, Juni 2004 - Juni 2006
Post-doctoral Researcher, Laboratory of Protein Engineering
Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne
• Successfully developed an innovative yeast two-hybrid method (Split-Trp) to study protein-protein or protein-small molecule interactions. The technology was licensed to the DualSystems biotech. • Developed a new method for the covalent and specific cross-linking of proteins with small molecule substrates in living mammalian cells. This technique offers the opportunity to induce and sense protein-protein interactions, yielding important insight into their function.
- 3 Jahre und 3 Monate, Sep. 2000 - Nov. 2003
PhD Student
Université de Bordeaux
• From the identification of genes of interest to the in vivo model of mutant parasites, I used various approaches to biochemically and biologically characterize acidocalcisome-associated enzymes and to study acidocalcisome polyphosphate metabolism.
- 1 Jahr, Sep. 1999 - Aug. 2000
Diploma Student
Pasteur Institute
• Generated and screened a yeast genomic DNA library to identify genes of unknown function which confer null mutant phenotypes. This work was done during my pre-doctoral research.
- 6 Monate, Sep. 1998 - Feb. 1999
Trainee Engineer
Pierre Fabre Pharma
• Validation of a new adjuvant to enhance the immune response to a respiratory syncitial virus vaccine.
