Dr. Harsh Maithani

I bring a strong and rare combination of academic, research, and industrial work experience, with exposure to both startup and large corporate work environment. 10 years experience with robotics (including 4 years with commercial robotics), 3 years with automotive sector.

Fixed term contract. I designed and developed the in-house mobile robot prototype as well as the robot perception, control and navigation software stack in ROS using RGB-D camera and Lidar for localization, mapping and SLAM.

Project with the French meat industry. I developed and implemented the software for a system of robot-assisted meat cutting for professional butchers. Project with Air France Industries for developing a robotic system for ecological paint removal from the surface of airplanes. I was responsible for Modeling, developing and implementing the software for control strategy for the proposed application & experimental tests of the new paint stripping method on airplane samples from Air France Industries.
