Jaume Boniquet

I work across strategy, innovation and design, helping organisations define the right challenge, identify meaningful opportunities and turn intent into clear, executable direction. Through Kire, I bring an experienced design perspective to decision-making, innovation and design leadership.

As Head of Strategy & Innovation at Ànima, I’ve led the creation and development of Ànima Next, a strategic innovation unit designed to help organisations identify opportunities, define strategic direction and turn insight into meaningful transformation through a design-led approach.

Since 2016, I have collaborated as a Sketching Lecturer in the online Master in Product Design, helping students use drawing as a thinking and communication tool. My role goes beyond technique: I guide them in observing, structuring ideas, exploring alternatives and expressing design intent clearly throughout the product development process.

From 2009 to 2026, I worked as Project Manager at Ànima, leading multidisciplinary design projects from definition to delivery and connecting client needs, team capabilities, design intent and execution. Over time, the role evolved towards greater strategic responsibility, culminating in 2026 with the leadership of Ànima Next, focused on new opportunities and future directions for the company.

From 2019 to 2021, I collaborated with the Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, one of Russia’s most renowned art and design institutions, mentoring students on diploma and master’s projects. My role focused on guiding them through the creative and strategic development of their work, helping bridge the gap between academic research and real-world design challenges.

From 2011 to 2020, I collaborated as an external consultant in industrial and transportation design with companies including DaVinci Alloys (UK), DV Motorsport (UK), Gokleer (USA), Eezon(Spain) and Scalextric (Spain).

In October 2007, I joined Ànima Barcelona as a Senior Industrial Designer. My work focused on developing DIY and garden tool ranges for Sumec (China), alongside industrial design projects for clients across different sectors, including Zobele, Vieta and Makita.

Industrial & "Special" Design of promotional items for companies like Bacardi, Bombay, Martini, Jägermeister, SATI, Miscelania, etc...Company also manage the production of these designs.

From late 2001 to 2007, I worked independently as a freelance designer, developing transportation, industrial and graphic design projects for companies including Ryesa, Golden Time and Bucopisa, as well as private clients. My work covered a range of sectors, particularly jewellery and watches, interiors, merchandising and automotive customisation.

For nearly a year, I worked as a Junior Exterior Designer at the SEAT Technical Centre in Martorell. I contributed to the SEAT U2P concept vehicle, presented at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show alongside the Tango, and supported the design of new models, mainly the Toledo, as well as production and aftermarket components including wheels, wheel trims, mirrors and door handles.

Industrial design studies specialised in transportation design. The teaching staff came from some of the most prestigious design centres in the Turin area, including Pininfarina, Giugiaro, I.DE.A Institute, Bertone, Fioravanti, Centro Stile Fiat, Lancia and the former Ghia. The final thesis project was sponsored by FIAT Auto and PPG.
