Kimberly Mueller

I am the right-hand to the Vice President of the Biomedical Section of the Max Planck Society, who is also the director of the department of Chromatin Regulation at the MPIIE. I organize events, book and reconcile business travel, translate documents as well as assist her, her department and others at the institute in any way I can.

I coordinate marketing efforts to improve sales, including but not limited to advertising campaigns, online portals, public events, developing print materials, and telefon marketing. I also work the reception desk, checking in and out guests, taking telephone and online reservations, providing customer service as well as preparing the breakfast buffet.

I plan events of all sizes, both internal and external, and coordinate everything from location selection to invitations, travel arrangements, catering, room layout, printed materials, expense reimbursement for guests.

I assisted the scientific Director in organizing business meetings, coordinated business travel, planed events, and maintained his calender.

I wore many hats: Reviewed student applications. Built and developed relationships with schools across the US. Connected qualified students with the appropriate schools. Hired and trained local coordinators to find and supervise host family placements. Collected and tracked all necessary screening and supervision paperwork. Developed new programs and their respective marketing materials. Counseled students and host parents through issues. Served as Tier 1 tech support for computer problems.

I taught German 101 and 102 to University Students. I created my own syllabus, daily lesson plans, exams and evaluated student progress.
