In this role, I coordinated with offering management, account management, and event teams to build content and events that are tailored to customer's needs and preferences within our energy, machinery, and appliances industries. With knowledge of industry trends, customer needs, and product capabilities, I combined account and business goals to assist in carrying out targeted offering content, account-focused events, and other resources that lead to more opportunities for our direct Account Managers.

As an SDE, I was responsible for the cultivation and organization of customer interactions as the point-of-contact between customers and NI resources. SDEs provide foundational product knowledge and internal coordination in order to answer product inquiries, execute order requests, and pinpoint high-value opportunities for Account Management teams.

In this position, I used my knowledge in the field of electricity distribution to analyze plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the needs of the customer. Maintaining strong relationships with contractors and distributors allowed me to better promote repeat business while providing excellent service.

The SDP Program was a program that combined a series of classes and hands-on experience to prepare for a Sales Engineer role. I attended numerous product and sales process-focused courses in order to present to and assist customers, learning best practices for sales conversations and presentations. In addition, I assisted the Austin-area team with sales inquiries and bid coordination.
