Ph.D. and M.Sc. degree obtained by the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Mechanical Engineering Department, Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PGMAT). Researcher linked to the Laboratory of Processing of Ceramics (PROCER) and the Ceramic and Composites Materials Research Laboratories (CERMAT).

Guest researcher in the Advanced Ceramics Institute of the Hamburg University of Technology, through the research cooperation between Brazil and Germany (PROBRAL I - CAPES/DAAD) with the project "Nano/microlayered alumina-based composites with tailored crack propagation".
