External Lecturer – Big Data: Methods of Datamining II
As an external lecturer, I lead the Master's course "Big Data – Methoden des Dataminings II" (Institute for Scientific Methodology and Market Research) for the Consumer Research & Data Driven Marketing program. My aim is to provide students with both theoretical frameworks and hands-on skills to apply data mining and machine learning to real-world business problems.
• Co-leading transformation for the Analytics, Data & AI department across multiple disciplines (e.g., Data Science, Data Engineering, AI Engineering) • Championing the cultural shift from reactive, order-driven work to proactive, consulting-oriented partnership • Enhancing stakeholder management and promoting stronger business understanding within tech teams
• Design and implement intuitive front-end solutions that enable end users to effortlessly leverage adapted analytics and AI models. • Creation and implementation of testing and evaluation strategies for performance monitoring. • Manage projects and stakeholders, partnering with cross-functional teams and leaders to deliver data-driven solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Led transformation and change processes, shifting workloads from on-premise to a cloud environment. • Defined cloud infrastructure and developed standardized processes for Data Scientists. • Migrated Data Science use cases in both production and development contexts. • Managed the end-to-end outsourcing of MLOps operations to an external provider, ensuring all processes were fully documented and enabling a seamless transition without disruption to business continuity.
• Creation and implementation of multidimensional customer segmentation to enable data-driven, strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization • Optimization of fully integrated, data-driven marketing initiatives to deliver the most relevant product offerings via the right channels at the optimal time, enhancing customer engagement and conversion
• Member of REWE International Data Science Board and contributor to the development of the analytics infrastructure for BI and analytics • International project lead for value and volume prediction on product level for Billa AT & Billa CEE for promotion and budget planning
