Designing and optimization of the Interoute transmission network. Responsible for new customer related network builds and upgrades. Providing Tx capacity solutions for IP/MPLS branches of the company. Technical Pre Sales support for the Tx part of the network, providing solutions and costs estimation for nonstandard customer designs. Use of various SDH/DWDM Transmission equipment platforms and NMS systems:: - Infinera DTN - Alcatel SDH - Alcatel DWDM - Ciena DWDM

Perform the testing and introduction to the Operations environment of new platform solutions from the Network Architecture team within given timelines. Engage with outside entities such as vendors, user groups etc through service and operational reviews. Perform strategic and tactical projects with respect to Customer migrations, network upgrades & network optimisation. Perform regular review and presentation of Core Backbone and Metro capacity. Identify and specifiy ongoing operations requirements.

Design, implementation, test and turn up of customer IP services in cooperation with the customer and field services teams. This includes IP Access, BGP transit and MPLS VPNs on layer 2 and 3. Technical validation of new customer IP orders. Migration of IP customer services, in cooperation with customer and field services teams. Technical point of contact for Service Delivery, Sales Engineering, Project Management and In-Country Field Engineering teams for issues related to IP service design
