Berufserfahrung von Muhammad Azeem

  • 3 Jahre und 4 Monate, Jan. 2023 - Apr. 2026

    Postdoctoral Researcher

    Universitätsklinikum Würzburg

Plasma B-cell biology and the bone marrow niche in multiple myeloma. • Built patient-derived 3D bone marrow organoids. • Co-developed a 3D bioreactor niche model (Acta Biomaterialia, 2024) and a paired in vivo mouse model. • Mapped stromal–immune interactions using scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, and 10x Visium HD spatial transcriptomics. • Established a multiple myeloma-patient bone marrow biobank. • Validated targets in primary patient cells and MM lines via shRNA knockdown and RNA sequencing.

  • 3 Jahre und 10 Monate, März 2019 - Dez. 2022

    PHD Graduate Student

    Universitätsklinikum Würzburg

Adaptive immune cell states in tissue inflammation. • Defined how NFATc1 shapes IL-17–producing T cells in contact hypersensitivity (first-author, JID 2025). • Optimized protocols for isolation and activation of skin resident T cells from mouse and human skin samples. • Built scRNA-seq and immune-profiling workflows for paired mouse and human samples. • Best Poster Prize, EUREKA Symposium 2020.

  • 2 Jahre und 4 Monate, Sep. 2016 - Dez. 2018

    Veterinary Research Officer

    Veterinary research institute lahore

Vaccine development and infectious disease diagnostics. • Isolated novel field strains of FMD and Newcastle Disease viruses → contributed to 2 national vaccines. • Established qPCR and ELISA assays for Brucellosis surveillance in livestock.

    Doctor of Philosophy - PhD

Graduate School of Life Sciences (University of Würzburg)

I am a researcher in the field of molecular immunology and tumor biology. For my PhD project I worked with different mouse models and gained a competent experience with the tools required for cellular and sub-cellular analysis. Because of a high motivation and research interest I was able delineate
