I managed three Retailers who operated 28 Shell retail sites in Auckland. I ensured they met sales targets and consistently delivered the Customer Commitment, while adhering to Shell’s policies and procedures. Sound relationship management was required to ensure Shell’s interests and reputation were protected while also using justified flexibility to scope out new business opportunities

I was responsible for Sales, Marketing, Operations and Profitability of the Shell New Zealand LPG Retail business of which there were 210 Shell sites nationwide. Project Management was a key component of the role as I was involved in various projects across the retail team and responsible for the launch of a major new Initiative to the New Zealand Market. Sound stakeholder management skills were essential to successfully completing these projects and ensuring that the LPG business ran efficiently and smooth

As part of the Shell Graduate Program, I was exposed to all aspects of the Shell Retail Business. During this time I worked on a number of Projects with the following responsibilities.

I was a reserve soldier in the New Zealand Army, in 2001 I volunteered to be a UN Peacekeeper in East Timor and begun training in Sep 2001 in May 2002 I deployed to East Timor until November, where I worked as an Intelligence operator gathering intel from sources and then reporting this information to NZ command.
