Brought in donation from Cisco WebEx to enable a reliable web-based conferencing platform among North Star regional offices (Durban, Johannesburg and Nairobi) and the Head office (Utrecht); Targeted potential institutional, private and governmental donors/partners; Assisted with fundraising/proposal writing and support existing project teams; Contributed to outlining North Star’s functional needs for the ICT infrastructure mapping; Provided logistical support for the Quarterly Directors Meeting.

Organized a study visit to Moldova and arranged interviews with public officials from Government anti-corruption bodies and representatives of the civil society sector; Assisted senior expert in conducting in-depth interviews, field note-taking and language interpretation; Contributed to processing, translating and analyzing field interview transcripts; Provided administrative support and other tasks as assigned.

Monitored anti-corruption policies and institutional transparency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Customs Service; Organized and coordinated arrangements for on and off site visits and focus groups; Reviewed daily the efficiency of Government whistleblower hotlines and websites; Assisted in designing interview guides and questionnaires for professionals from Government, private sector and civil society; Informed public opinion on monitoring results (ex. via press conferences).

Organized 3 international scientific events with representatives from Ministry of Defence, NATO, diplomatic missions, civil society and academia > 400 participants; Managed events’ logistics and marketing communication from end-to-end; Assisted in editing/translating events’ papers for book publishing; Handled fundraising work and annual report writing; Designed center’s website and assisted with day-to-day updating and maintenance.

The fellowship program, funded by Fred J. Hansen Foundation, provides unique University-based training on leadership, community-building, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
