Responsibility for Project Management of projects across boundaries in the SDH Backbone in EMEA (ADM, DWDM up to STM-64 and DACCS 4/3/1 and 1/0) and for IP-projects. Taking care of Planning, Purchasing, Implementation and Carrier Management in the Emerging Markets (Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Rumania, Slovakia, South Africa and Turkey).

EMEA Network Planning & Implementation primary mission is to optimise the EMEA networks to reduce Line Cost whilst ensuring adequate capacity and QoS for existing customers and new sales.

Responsibility for the monitoring of the network to ensure that capacity is available to support sales and provisioning activities. The goal of the department is to optimally balance commercial, economical and logistical principles whilst planing roll out projects for all transport electronics for the Backbone, the Metro (ADM, DACCS, DWDM) and the infrastructure (Fibre, Cables, Panels) within Europe.

Shaped the Marketing Mix for MFS and later WolrdCom in a new deregulated Telecommunications market by looking at the purchase process in a business to business environment across the value chain.

Product introduction and maintenance for 3 product lines with a staff of 3 employees as a Senior Group Manager. The products lines were Wide Area Network Products (Multiplexer), Digital Access Products (ISDN-Terminaladapter and X.25) and Security Products. Responsibility for consulting major customers (e.g. Lufthansa, Axel Springer, University of Passau) in Corporate Networks and Security.

Product introduction and maintenance of Wide Area Network Products (Multiplexer) and Digital Access Products (ISDN-Terminaladapter and X.25) for Sales. Implementation of market requirements into product specifications and development requirements for vendors and product suppliers.

Technical introduction and maintenance of various LAN Products. Direct contact with the customers taking responsibility for spcial projects.
