Product development engineer for Dual Clutch Automotive Transmission

Report to Managing Director. Lead and start up a brand new engineering and manufacturing campus. Build a strong and diverse team composed of people with multicultural background and different mindsets. Lead new product development with multifunctional team located in several locations around the world. Interface with external stakeholders (regulatory agencies) Implement engineering processes and methodologies to achieve internal stakeholders’ goals in product cost, budgeting and time to market.

Discuss and select best product concept using virtual tools testing different layouts and gear sets. Designing/specifying bearings, gears, shafts, synchronizers, housings, planetary gears and hydraulic controllers. Use early involvement methodology for developing housing suppliers. International Experience: Visiting customers and suppliers in China for project development, several trips to Galesburg, MI for project development/management and endurance test.

Discuss market/customer requirements for defying product features. Lead team’s tasks on designing/specifying bearings, gears, shafts, housing, synchronizers and seals. Technical project manager for development phases between engineers from Brazil and Germany using PEP (Product Execution Plan). Coordinate DFMEA meetings. International Experience: Design reviews and product validation in Passau, Germany.

Design new and special solutions for Brazilian market. Use Pro E for 3D and 2D files build. Product development for Wheel loaders, Backhoe loaders and Motor graders. FEA expert for vehicle systems and Lifetime calculation for components. Design reviews and product validation with design engineering group from Peoria, USA. Drive cost reduction projects. Product lifecycle management using Teamcenter software.
