Investigated host immune responses to Plasmodium falciparum infection, with a focus on how sporozoites activate innate immunity and influence CD8+ T cell responses. Used in vivo malaria models, primary immune cell assays, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and transcriptomic analysis to study host–parasite interactions. Examined parasite-induced immune activation, inflammatory signaling, and antigen-specific T cell priming across human and mouse systems.

Flow cytometry on PBMC’S taken from MS patients and from mouse models. Profiling/ testing in vivo glycol-protein carrier molecules via a PK study ELISA and ElisSpot run on PBMC supernatant from cell culture. IV, IP sub Q injection of peptides into mice. Tissue collection from mice and T cell extraction from LN and Spleen. Literature searches and data collection of MS Biomarkers.

Researcher at Trinity College woking in the field of Innate immunology with a specific focus on viral evasion. Primarily working on profiling and testing in-vitro MCV derived NF-kB inhibitor’s. Secondary projects include DHX9 /E3 co-ip blotting on vaccinia virus infected a THP-1 cell line. and studying the role of SARM via SARM KO effects on BMDC IFN-b production and viability via LDH release.

worked on a mini thesis for 3 months with one of my professors as part of my final year course, where we investigated an acetyltransferase protein hMOF and using sequencing and siRNA techniques investigated possible smaller still active isoforms of the protein

I worked as a summer intern at Abbvie in Worcester for 3 months last summer where I got the opportunity to work with a wide range of skilled researchers on many exiting projects from antibody interactions using ITC to performing western blots to search for interesting and odd immune complexes forming in blood serum. I learned a lot of valuable skills and techniques that is outlined in my resume.
