Cell competition during zebrafish development and retina regeneration: A flower story I have finished my doctoral studies in the lab of Prof. Dr. Michael Brand at the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden, affiliated to Technische Universität Dresden. In my doctoral research, I have designed and established efficient and comprehensive cellular assay, performed CRISPR/Cas9 mutagenesis, handled DNA/RNA and other molecular biology techniques (PCR, in vitro mRNA synthesis)

In the first 2 years, I was introduced to different fields in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. In the 3rd and 4th year, I majored in Biology by taking courses like Immunology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Epigenetics, and Biostatistics. I was awarded the prestigious Erasmus-Mundus Scholarship to do my Master's thesis in Prof. Klas Kullander's lab at Uppsala University, Sweden, in the final year.
