Built the wealth management department focusing on South African clients. Prior to 2009, KBL (Switzerland) had no specific focus on South Africa or Africa.

Facilitated the implementation of a refocus and turnaround strategy in the Corporate Banking Department. Much of the departmental growth achieved was through merger and acquisition activity by our clients, concluded in various jurisdictions.

Instrumental in building newly-formed department responsible for complex debt transactions including leveraged and acquisition finance - from initial assessment through to implementation.

In a newly-formed department, oversaw assessment and implementation of term debt financing arrangements, with focus on tax-driven structured finance on behalf of corporate clients.

Project managed and assisted in developing improved operational efficiencies and cost-saving measures for various clients across different industries; including banking, health insurance, manufacturing and mining.

Set-up and headed a newly-formed trading desk focused on non-Japanese Equity Capital Markets, including IPOs, convertible bonds and warrant issues.

As the first non-Japanese employee of this company when it began its operations in Switzerland, assisted in developing a successful trading desk; including Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets and foreign exchange
