I was responsible for creating the refineries first hydraulic simulation model for the Instrument Air distribution system, across the site. This required me assessing the capabilities and vulnerabilities of the system along with collecting data of various compressor's capacity. By analysing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), this allowed me to identify areas of sparse documentation and raise these as an issue.

Assessed the use of density meters as a diagnostic tool for root causing issues with catalytic wash-coat batches. I carried out lab tests to measure the density of various mixtures to gain a base reading and conducted dilution tests in-line with production, to measure sensitivity of the density meters. This allowed me to determine the accuracy of the equipment. I also assisted in the creation of a new procedure to accurately X-Ray catalytic substrates to measure coating depth.

Responsible for implementing maintenance and improvement projects to the Zoladex manufacturing line. Through this I was able to understand and utilise Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) regulations on site. This opportunity allowed me to be responsible for the installation and qualification documentation for the replacement of five industrial chillers. I was also exposed to Lean Six Sigma concepts to improve performance by removing waste and reducing variation.
