Wrote and edited case studies, White Papers, press releases, mailshots, newsletters, thought leadership pieces, website and social media content, and miscellaneous marketing collaterals used for trade shows, exhibitions, seminars, etc. Liaised with marketing, engineering, logistics, and finance colleagues at headquarters in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

Managed Technical Writing Group including interviewing, selecting, and dismissing technical writers and interns. Made budget recommendations and oversaw budget allocations. Wrote, re-wrote, and copy-edited software manuals, hardware manuals, Command Line Interface manuals, quick installation guides, online helpfiles, and related technical materials for Ethernet, broadband, wireless, digital home, and various networking technologies.

Wrote, re-wrote, and edited user guides, software manuals, and online help files in the Writing Group of the Technical Division. Consulted with engineers, product managers, and other technical and administrative staff, including members of the in-house art department, in preparing materials for publication.

Wrote and edited four to six articles a day for Soomaaliya Maanta, the largest daily newspaper in Somalia. Directed editors, translators, layout personnel, printers, and reporters. Wrote and delivered news reports for local and international broadcast. Proofread and copy-edited articles for miscellaneous United Nations’ publications. Served as sub-editor and co-editor-in-chief from 12/93 to 5/94.

Managed Programme Division’s periodical collection, composed of more than 500 journals, newsletters, and magazines. Produced bimonthly UNICEF publication, Current Periodicals, distributed to 140 field offices around the world.
