This is my own company, set up in 1997 when I moved into full time contract work. When I am between contracts I revert to Abbeygates.

Project-managed CRM and Complaints system to unite operations of train, coach, bus and tram customer service organisations. Designed and implemented PMM, an agile tailored project management methodology based on PRINCE2, extended project culture across the group, designed and introduced requirements gathering and process improvement methodologies. Replaced and extended computer and kiosk systems for Heathrow bus service. Designed web-based system for assisted travel for passengers with disabilities.

Project managed implementation of engineering, asset-management, stock control and procurement system with Finance, HR and H&S interfaces and remote link solutions for land-based and ship-board engineering teams, automated operations on buoy tenders and new ship builds in line with the recommendations of a major Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) exercise. Rolled out modified PRINCE2 methodology working to National Audit Office and Dept for Transport standards and utilising SSADM for analysis.

Delivered Intranet strategy to amalgamate group to secure coherent e-business/e-commerce strategy. Project-managed eStrategy project through to post-implementation review, set up group’s first virtual ticketing systems and mBusiness facilities to reduce ticketing costs. Implemented multiple system enhancements for staff rostering, budgeting and scheduling, time and attendance tracking and compliance with EC regulations. Performed business analysis for replacement of HR system.

Reverse-engineer and project-managed Contract Control System and Project Control System. Set up and managed Business Analysis team, performed development, evaluated and investigated project life cycles, including initiation, change control, implementation, deployment, testing, QA and post-implementation review and rolled out an agile project methodology merging PRINCE2 and DSDM. Acted as conduit for all work into IT Department from BLLE, partners, alliances and PFI partners.

Analysed and project managed process improvement and business restructuring programmes, including new financial and accounts systems, ERP systems, web-enablement programmes and structural and business process changes, pioneered and devised Internet, Intranet and Extranet strategy, secured Group’s supply chain, conceived and implemented strategies and models for Customer Information System and Customer Relationship Management solutions. Implemented ERP/MIS, warehousing and logistics strategy.

Designed and implemented reporting suite for an in-house developed procurements system to handle up to 50,000 suppliers on one project.

Developed and rolled out RF-based warehouse management system for Tilbury Cold Store.

Managed core system migrations and system standardisation. Worked with 300 staff and managers in operational, production, warehousing, retail and financial functions across the company to derive and formalize the business model, and to project manage new systems and standards within the model (suitable for ISO 9002) standardising hardware, software and methods. Line manager for the five man Network Team installing, supporting and enhancing the company LANs and WANs.

Selected and rolled-out new core systems. A high profile proactive role that included managing the development of systems to produce photo-image credit cards and to manage the data-flows required.

End-user computing and Rapid Application Development. Provided end-user consultancy, advice and guidance and managed a Rapid Application Development function with eight analysts and developers. Developed shipboard, shipping, warehousing and logistics systems. Designed software and general strategy.

Carried out system development work and reverse-engineered systems to be replaced. Developed banking reporting systems. Documented and reverse-specified existing Datapoint systems at a city insurance broking organisation. Implemented builders merchants' package. Developed order processing system for a publishing company. Documented and reverse-specified existing regional systems for a major shipping organisation.

Developed new systems and enhanced and maintained existing systems for flour-milling division. Developed order processing and load planning system. Enhanced and maintained Flour Mill data processing functions including communications, payroll, invoicing, stock control and warehousing, management information reports, modelling, order processing, load planning and reconciliation and Millwrights (special payroll). Managed Help Desk providing on-line support for remote systems.
