Operations

- Establish a strategic path for the site together with site management. - Ensure processes are in place to capture ideas and build them through front-end loading to secure the Capex budget. - Ensure an Automation road map to secure process optimization and variable cost reduction, reducing error and variability from manual operation. - Leading >30 projects a year ranging 0,5 Mio to 12,000 Mio - CoachLEAN methodologies to secure optimal work (RCA, MoC, SMEAD)

Act as a key interface for quality topics including non-conformance reports and customer complaints between sites, product management, marketing, sales and supply chain. Drive corrective actions and decisions on quality related issues, lead in root cause investigation to establish and propose remediation to minimize external risks to the business. Establish and implement regional LEAN SIX SIGMA activitites to achieve business process excellence whilst reducing costs of poor quality.

Instigated LEAN activities at Plant level within the main chemical sites, in collaboration with other BASF internal departments, whilst reducing scheduled & unexpected downtime based on Asset Effectiveness, which slashed ~200,000 Euro/annum for first measures found. Facilitated root cause analysis workshop, to ensure the production of one of company’s chemical production sites in collaboration with other BASF departments.

PKey Contributions: Effectively formulated the P&ID, PFD, and Isometrics documentation based on P&ID and Plant Layout, as well as the technical proposal documentation. Collaborated with design department to implement the hydraulic design of Liquid Piping and Pipelines including Pipe, Sizing, and Pump head.

DKey Contributions: Produced PUC and epoxy chemistries in lab scale based on industrial needs, as well as calculated process safety of scale-up and product performance and improvements. Completed analytical characterization of certain materials, whilst providing support to the research team to plan organise and deliver R&D projects.

Key Contributions: Led the process data collection on-site, as well as coordinated the optimization of mass and energy balance in the production of polyamine at Rhodia Feixiang and designed process diagrams. Gained valuable experience of project management and various methods of research with barely no resources.

Received one out of two program students to Tenerife. The studies represented the fourth year of my Master in Chemical Engineering. Acquired knowledge: General chemistry, environmental Tech, separation processes, simulation & optimization processes, thermodynamics abilities…
