Maximilian Valentin Meyer-Burckhardt

Working for the Marketing & Sales department, I represented the university at academic fairs and open-days to promote the university itself and higher education in general. In line with the university's social scheme, I reached out to pupils of low socio-economic, non-traditional university backgrounds. Moreover, due to my experience with mentally-disabled people, I was granted the privilege to guide students with hearing & speaking disabilities through their university everyday life.

Spent 10 weeks working for both the Press Department and the Public Affairs Department (Hasbara). Moreover, monitored the German/international media in light of relevant political issues, prepared corresponding talking points, participated in and followed up on interviews concerning the ambassador and/or German newspapers and formulated press statements.

Spent 2 months working in the European Union, as part of MEP Knut Fleckenstein's team. In so doing, I minuted, analysed and condensed the conferences of the committees on "inter-parliamentary dialogue with Russia" and "counter-terrorism" and helped prepare Mr. Fleckenstein for his daily meetings and interviews.
