Nils Rauterberg

After more than 20 years in senior operational leadership, I now work as a Growth Architect & Advisor to founders, leadership teams, and investors. I support companies across the full growth journey – from early build-up through scaling and international expansion – especially in demanding situations requiring clarity, focus and structural coherence. My work draws on first-hand experience in building and scaling digital businesses to international market leadership.

Built and scaled Audible’s European business from early market entries to a leading international digital platform. Over more than a decade, I led growth strategy, international market launches, and the development of scalable organizations across multiple European countries. I held full P&L responsibility for a high-growth business with nine-digit annual revenues and worked closely with global leadership on strategy, innovation, organization and integration into Amazon’s platform.

Introduced and established Audible as an innovative digital media and e-commerce service in the German market. I developed and led the full go-to-market strategy, built internal and external teams, and laid the foundations for scalable growth. This early build-up phase shaped my understanding of customer-centric growth, product positioning and the realities of building momentum from scratch.

Early roles in venture capital and digital media that strongly shaped my entrepreneurial and strategic mindset. At Neue Mediengesellschaft Ulm, I took on significant responsibility early on, including leading marketing for an Internet Service Provider and serving as Show Director of Internet World Berlin, one of Germany’s first major internet industry events. At Holtzbrinck Ventures, I gained deep exposure to strategy, planning and analysis of early-stage digital businesses.
