Leading the UX design group for Elsevier's Research Intelligence product portfolio, including Elsevier flagship products such as Scopus, SciVal, Pure, Digital Commons and others. My team of 25 designers, researchers, writers, and managers, covers the whole spectrum of UX research, ideation, product discovery & delivery out of multiple locations (Amsterdam, London, Aalborg, Berkeley), addressing the unique needs and requirements of researchers, universities & research institutes, & funders around the world.

Worked across Elsevier's multi-disciplinary user experience community on a variety of horizontal projects and initiatives. This included evangelization of cross-product design patterns, platform experience strategy, global information architecture, and getting the internal and external design communities together for knowledge sharing and design critiques.

Managing SDL’s global UX team including setting team focus, finding talent, facilitating team growth, defining and evolving the team’s structure and processes, enabling team communication and collaboration, and balancing design need in the organization with available resources. As part of SDL’s senior leadership team and as UX and design thinking evangelist, I am aligning UX with a variety of disciplines and promoting a holistic customer-centric perspective across internal teams and organizational silos.
