Manage quality assurance across safety-critical nuclear pipe-spool manufacturing in accordance with RCC-M, EN 13480 and ISO 3834. Plan inspection and hold points; verify WPS/WPQRs, welder qualifications, traceability and NDT. Coordinate radiography and review RT results. Lead NCR, RCA, 8D and CAPA activities, audits, corrective actions, digital quality records and KPI reporting with production, subcontractors and client representatives.

Coordinated Quality Engineering and QA/QC across heavy fabrication, marine, offshore and vessel-repair projects. Planned inspection and NDT activities and performed fit-up, dimensional, visual, pre-weld, in-process and final weld inspections. Controlled ITPs, weld maps, weld logs, material traceability, inspection records and NDT documentation, working with production teams, clients and third-party inspectors.

Supported quality assurance across high-integrity aerospace, nuclear, defence, marine and oil & gas manufacturing. Maintained controlled quality documentation, inspection records and material traceability; supported internal audits, non-conformity investigations and corrective actions. Worked closely with production and engineering teams and contributed to 5S, Kaizen and Six Sigma improvement activities.

Fabricated and welded high-specification components using GTAW for aerospace, nuclear, defence, marine and oil & gas projects. Supported high-integrity naval nuclear submarine pipework manufacture at BAE Systems Barrow. Progressed to Chargehand and Supervisor, leading approximately 12 personnel and coordinating production, workmanship, quality and safe delivery.

Completed a four-year Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture – Craft and Technician (Fabrication and Welding), achieving a Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma. Developed practical competence in engineering drawings, material preparation, cutting, grinding, fabrication, fitting, welding, dimensional control, inspection and workshop safety.

Currently studying a part-time distance-learning BEng in General Engineering alongside full-time employment as a Quality Engineer. Developing broader knowledge of engineering principles, materials, design and manufacturing.
