I co-founded the charity cycling4climate.nl aimed at creating impact for sustainability, not by mere fundraising, but with carbon commitments by all participants (year 1: 30+; year 2: 700+; year 3: 1000+ participants). Our ClimateClassic events (cycling 400km in 1 day, either by yourself or as estafette) pretty much turned into networking events with cycle-loving politicians, scientists, and business people. I acted as the liaison between the prospects'/customers' needs through discovery & interview sessions with multiple business stakeholders (strategy/business consultant mindset) on the one hand and the capabilities of the software on the other. Based on those needs I would come up with a (conceptual) solution and present this back up the highest decision making role (usually CxO) through storytelling and value-selling techniques. As an expert in the subscription industry I helped drive this transformation.
