Torsten Willms

Reporting to the CTO, I am responsible for supporting the overall delivery of a business transformation program designed to accelerate strategic initiatives and realise multimillion-dollar value in return. I have defined a program of work using agile and lean methodologies to deliver the largest return on investment, leading the strategy definition for various business units within Origin while actively engaging functional stakeholders in ideation, strategic facilitation and the delivery of key initiatives.

Engaged to improve business processes in terms of financial and operating reporting, forecasting and budgeting, the aim of this role was to enhance reporting capability and drive digitisation. I led the production of regular KPI reporting, budget packs and financial insights, in addition to investor communications, for executives up to the level of CEO, while identifying stakeholder needs and opportunities for improvement in reporting to encourage greater collaboration.

Supporting a range of business improvement and cost reduction projects, my core mandate was to work with clients to identify opportunities and prepare implementation plans and recommendations on cost reduction and growth options. I executed strategy and operations projects on behalf of local, regional and national energy retailers, maintaining an active overview of market trends and legislative changes and managing a largely C-level stakeholder base.
