With such fantastic growth, Essence brought me on board to look into scaling some of their business processes to ensure nothing gets left behind (including the all important entrepreneurial/small company mindset)!

A publishing venture taking the better aspects of traditional publishing (quality control and widespread distribution) combined with the best of new technology (ease of use, low marginal costs, crowdsourcing and community involvement, etc.). The platform recently attracted VC funding valuing the company at approximately £3 million.

Channel 4 were launching an innovative scrapbook project for users to save their favourite Channel 4 lifestyle content from Channel 4 site and around the wider web (www.scrapbook.channel4.com). This was a continuous integration project on a whole new cloud based architecture using a NoSQL database and with automated testing in place.

I initially joined sky for a 3 moth contract to help migrate their My Sky loyalty/rewards website to a new CMS platform and to implement a parallel site redesign. I was successful in this position and was further contracted to help develop the online portion of the Sky at the O2 programme.
