Responsible for all ICT related activities.

Within my current role in IFS I am responsible to provide the leadership, facilitation, mentoring, analysis and design tasks required to develop the IFS enterprise architecture (EA) - and to recommend the governance procedures that ensure that it is leveraged within the organisation.

EFS, part of the Lloyds Banking Group, consists out of two life assurance companies (Clerical Medical Europe & Heidelberger Leben) and one sales organisation (HBOS EFS Vertrieb formerly known as CMHVS). Within EFS I am responsible for the following areas: software development, support and maintenance, quality management as well as testing. In this role I have 4 senior managers directly reporting into me who head up the previously mentioned areas (in total 60 - 70 FTE).

To manage, plan and control the activities of the Maastricht Customer Services operations in order to ensure the provision of a robust, efficient and customer focused service. These teams, as part of the Customer Services Function, are responsible for the timely and accurate processing of approximately 30,000 applications per annum across a range of Insurance products sold in 5 European countries (Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium and Spain).

The business controller ensures reliable management information and consequently is aware of the relevant plans of the organization and its units. They advise management on rendering the set goals in a SMART manner. The business controller contributes to the planning & control cycle. The business controller encourages management to look ahead and to organize in advance by helping to draw up multi-annual planning documents.
