Ileana Hernandez Resendiz

I am an experienced researcher at the Medical University of Regensburg, specializing in new target discovery and biomarker validation in human health and metabolic disorders. My career focus is the development of specific strategies for biomarker testing and novel treatment implementation for cancer, liver diseases, obesity, and diabetes. Furthermore, I am always looking for opportunities to collaborate with other scientists to make advances in the field of cardiometabolic diseases.

As a postdoctoral researcher in the Oncophysiology group, I design innovative and effective therapies for cancer treatment, targeting proteins involved in cancer development using monoclonal antibodies and metabolic drugs. I have proposed new projects for the analysis of new mechanisms in cancer regulation, and I have participated in data presentations, international meetings, lectures for master students, and seminar organization.

Tasks and responsibilities: - Evaluation of new drugs using in vitro and in vivo models. -Signal pathways identification involved in cancer metabolism to propose new targets for cancer treatment. - Development of new projects about cancer and cardiovascular diseases. - Publication and presentation of data in international journals and meetings. - Training of undergraduate students.
