In my time thus far at TFMoran, Inc., I have coordinated with federal, state, and local agencies and committees on various projects involving environmental review and permitting. I consult with our clientele on avoidance and minimization, restoration, and/or enhancement techniques for the natural resources and communities surrounding their project or property. Further, I delineate wetlands and survey for sensitive wildlife and plant species and communities in the field.

During my time at the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, I coordinated with public and private partners of the Refuge to further natural resource conservation initiatives and projects. I also produced outreach resources, including posters, flyers, pamphlets / brochures, and programs. Lastly, I was part of the ongoing habitat management and restoration efforts at the Refuge.

During my time at the Barrington Land Trust, I collected data on the physical characteristics, condition, and nesting habits of the local population of female Diamondback Terrapin turtles. During the nesting season, I monitored nesting females and placed protective covers over their nests to prevent predation. I also gained experience with wildlife handling, as I inserted Passive Integrated Transponder ("PIT") tags into individual turtles to track movements for future management efforts.

As I completed my degree, I studied numerous environmental concepts, including: biology, ecology, and biogeochemistry; native species, life histories, and population dynamics; climate change, feedback loops, and anticipated trends; and environmental law, regulation, and injustice. As I completed my minor in Business Administration, I studied modern management practices and organizational cultures in the realm of corporate sustainability.
