Driving the transition in the hardware LOB from OEM-product related to Intellectual Property based products. Revitalizing the channel and regaining trust of our customer base. I personally have been contributing to business development and marketing initiatives.

Managing a team of 20 Storage Architects with Disk solutions as their domain expertise. The team is part of the EMEA HW Sales Consulting Organization and covers three regions: Northern Europe, MEA and EE/CIS. Strong alignment to the Storage Sales leads of the respective regions.

Tech. head of the German Storage Practice (up to 40 employees). Coverage of complete Sun Storage product portfolio, high availability concepts, backup / recovery, long term archiving, virtualization, data center integration, mainframe products, IP-video technology and Open Storage. From 02/2004-12/2005 including Sun Professional Service Specialists. Successful integration of both technical teams. Technological coverage for storage in the area of products, solutions, arch. and impl. P&L responsibility.

Setup and management of a local team of system engineers in the Munich office. Responsible for the targets, skill development and resource scheduling. Team size up to 14 employees. Project lead in different strategic projects, which could be completed successfully. In parallel cross-sectional responsibility for storage throughout sales support in Germany. From 12/2000 on an European level (dottet line). Working in close relationship with EMEA levels.

System consulting for commercial Open Systems clients in the banking and industrial sector. Product consultancy and project work for traditio-nal IT issues around the data center. Server Sizing for applications (ERP, DB), high availability, backup / recovery planning. From 1998 Account SE for a large Bank based in Munich.

Consulting, installation and maintenance of the core products under DEC/VMS, OS/2 and UNIX. Product training and introduction of new technologies at the customers side. Troubleshooting and performance optimization for database / query language. Administration and porting of databases and applications to other environments and operating systems. Methodical approach from data structure ana-lysis up to the development of the application design. Application development with responsibility for sub-projects.
