I lead Sales Operations for Cummins Africa Middle East. This entails enabling our sales organization to become more engaged, effective, and efficient through a sales transformation strategy, best in class diverse talent acquisition and retention, integrated platforms, and business intelligence capabilities to drive legendary sales and customer experience across the Africa Middle East region. I also lead the Commercial Contracts Review process for any large contracts and contractual disputes.
I led the business in Africa for Cummins Filtration with a key focus on the Sales, Commercial and Marketing teams to deliver profitable growth by providing customers with valued solutions and world class service. This was achieved by developing a 5-year strategy for the region, as well as for the immediate and next business cycles. I successfully led the Africa Filtration business from (Negative) -3% PBIT to (Positive) 7% PBIT during my time as Business Leader in Africa.

Was responsible for the development, growth and sales of the Components division of Cummins through the Distribution Business Unit (DBU) channel across the African continent. This included applied and non-applied business. In essence known as channel management. I successfully grew the Filtration Business in the DBU by 40%.

My role at Cummins Southern Africa required me to develop the market strategy and to support the development of business strategy for the Southern African region. This entailed conducting research into the relevant markets, and then planning with the relevant Business Unit Leaders to support the overall business operations and strategic planning process of all country in the region. I also managed the implementation of Strategic Initiatives and Projects for the business.
Specialisation: Change Management and Organizational Design. At my time with Accenture I performed the role of Change Manager and organizational design support on four global projects. Two of these projects where based in South Africa, Johannesburg while the other two projects where based with in the African Continent, namely Nigeria and then Mozambique. These projects all ran very tight timelines and always allowed one the opportunity to manage and work with diverse teams.
