• Creating a flow diagram for the manufacturing line • Listing down all the parameters, that are being measured and connected to PLCs, along with the Tag numbers assigned to each of the parameters. • Listing down all the manual activities carried out in the line during the production activity • Identifying the 'set' parameters and the respective PLCs to which those parameters are connected. • Listing down the additional parameters that are necessary for automating the production process.

• Finding out the bottlenecks of the line, and executing projects to improvise on them. • Execute Kaizens to reduce cloth I/O ratio, and improve efficiency, by reducing downtime on the line. • Be an active member for any 2 of 8 pillars of WCM (World Class Management). • Developing and maintaining model areas and pilot areas on the line and ensuring 5S of the plant. • Preparing reports such as Work-In-Progress, material variance, efficiency, Manufacturing Flash Report and incentive report for operators.

• Production planning by discussing with all the core functional team members. • Scheduling & ensuring availability of all the resources required for the production line. • Ensuring product quality and consistency of existing process, with the help of a beta-ray gauge and frequent physical/manual checks. • Ensuring safety for workmen of the production line, by frequent reviewal of risk assessment of the line. • Reporting and closing new/existing unsafe conditions and acts on the line.
