Responsible for ensuring optimum utilization of the available workshop labour and resources to achieve set operational efficiency targets. Ensuring the team carries out vehicle repair and service activities in accordance to established quality, safety and efficiency guidelines and within set time frames. Monitoring the team’s activities along with guiding and training them as needed. Ensuring that all work is completed with the smooth running of all jobs carried out to the dealership standard.

Conferring with service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements. Ensuring the smooth running of the workshop by allocating work accordingly to a team of technicians. Monitoring performance and productivity of technicians, providing technical training when needed. Ensuring that all work is completed on time and to the customer satisfaction with the smooth running of all jobs carried out to the dealership standard.

Responsible for preparing, submitting and following up on warranty claims. Keeping abreast of all factory recalls and announcements. Arranging for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor and resubmitting all rejected claims promptly. Keeping track of all warranty parts by noting the repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed. Maintaining all service and customer records as required by the warranty auditor.

Scheduling service appointments and receiving vehicle information, service requests desired and clearly mentioning on the repair order. Performing initial test drives along with customers and thereafter final test drives after the service repairs completed. Estimating the cost and time needed to do the repair. Handling customer complaints and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards. Getting customer approval to do additional work. Explaining the work performed and the charges being billed.

Responsible for doing periodic maintenance which includes engine tuning, fuel injectors cleaning, replacement of engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter element and performing all the tasks as per the maintenance check list. Doing running repair which includes disassembling, assembling, adjustments, replacement of defective parts. Doing wheel alignment and balancing.
