• Lead, plan and control the Commerce and Supply PDVSA’s at and medium term planning activities, through the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic and operational planning tools, settling qualitative and quantitative performance evaluation models. • Managing economic studies on the linear programming (LP) model for monthly and yearly plans. • Develop pre-feasibility studies for new business opportunities. • Managing crude oil blending economic evaluations.

Evaluate domestic sourcing of crude oil to ensure security of supply according client´s requirements. Negotiating contracts: pricing, volumes and shipping to ensure adequate quantity and quality of crude oil and fuel oil under the best economic terms. Coordinate with operations organization to ensure that customers' crude delivery requirements are met.

• Evaluating light crude oil price formula for different commercial agreements and projects. • Analyze and monitor price reference, shifts, margin analysis and dynamic market conditions for light crude oil in USGC, USWC, USEC, Asia, and Europe. • Provide regular and ad-hoc pricing analysis and report implications to competitive position for different crude oil segregation. • Manage crude oil forward price formulas for purchasing and selling using different references sources

• Maximizing the refining margin by optimizing utilization of the PDVSA´s refinery system whilst meeting market demand. • LP production planning and forecasting using PIMS. • Key LP user – advising on LP modifications • Preparing crude oil and refined products disposition and availability for monthly and yearly operation plans. • Help prepare volumetric balances for presentations about availability and disposition of crude oil and refined products

• Crafting and articulating the volumetric business strategies for long term Commerce and Supply Business Plan • To continually identify, evaluate, and optimize capital assets related to commerce and supply activities. • Conducting in-depth energy market assessments • Give technical support other departments within the company on volumetric availability of crude oil and refined products, energy market outlooks, economic evaluations, oil pricing and international energy policies.

• Control of Processes associated with the manufacture of emulsified coatings, synthetic enamels and industrial finished coatings; Quality Control of Packaging and Presentation of finished product, Continuous Process Improvement.

• Technical Assistance for the Application of Precipitated Silica in Paints, Food, Tires, Rubber articles among others. Realization of Special Evaluations, Coordination of Laboratory Analysis in Inherent Applications, Review of Safety Sheets, Test Methods, Management of Samples Sent to Clients General Technical Assistance, Preparation of Technical and Advertising Bulletins (Spanish- English); Property correlation Characteristics and their influence on the manufacturing process among other activities.
