Responsible for developing opportunities for the Costa Rican export sector in emerging markets and consolidating established ones in northern Europe in the fresh fruit, ornamental plants, cut flowers, processed foods (IQF, fruit concentrates and purees, sauces, coffee) segments. Principal markets: Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Russia and Turkey.

• Responsible for the generation of joint venture and trade agreements between Costa Rican and European companies • Achieved new revenue for exporters through direct generation of upwards of 15 such agreements • Enhance exporter revenue by improving and rationalizing their product distribution channels • Conduct 8-10 annual events to engage CR companies through commercial missions and fairs in promoting their products in the European market

Provided advisory services to corporate executives on investment incentives, regulatory matters and strategy for CR operations set-up • Acted as liaison between corporations and government to facilitate aftercare services, communications and negotiations • Active role in generating new FDI by facilitating the establishment of top companies in Costa Rica • Industries/Fields covered: aerospace, medical devices, automotive, telecom, renewable energy, shared services. • Role as official government spokesperson
