Principal coordinator and responsible for the overall administration and day to day running of the EMBO long term Fellowship programme. Performing an HR role for all the scientists applying and receiving an EMBO fellowship and key contact for all applicants, reviewers, interviewers, etc. Organisation of the EMBO Fellows meetings, both local and international conferences also representing the organisation and Fellowship programme at international meetings and conferences.

Assistant to the translation team as part of Swedish/English projects for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. This involved acting as a secondary translator for all documents and protocols, as well as being a translations proof reader.

Teaching at various international companies in the Heidelberg area (SAP, Heidelberg Druckmaschinen, Wild), specialising in business, technical/I.T. and financial English. Responsibilities included planning of course curriculum, creation of communicative worksheets and teaching aids and monitoring of each student’s progress.

The position included responsibility for all travel and accommodation for both Gateway personnel and corporate clients, calculating and budgeting for Gateway’s travel requirements, expense reports and personnel costs. I was the main liaison between sales, and HR and responsible for the “headcount” in the department. This involved producing the headcount reports and presentations for management level and assisting with recruitment. I was also the key contact between new employees, IT and HR.

Started as account manager for the Swedish/English call centre markets and was sales representative of the month for 3 consecutive months before promotion to PA to Director of Sales. Position involved preparation of reports, presentations and use of knowledge and experience gained whilst working on sales floor. In this position more responsibility was gained leading to further promotion to the position of Business Sales Projects Co-ordinator.
