Represent PEER Group’s OEM business across Europe as the primary interface between semiconductor equipment manufacturers and Canadian headquarters. Drive strategic account development, market intelligence and commercial recommendations. Advise on product positioning, pricing, licensing, CRA implications and scalable software models. Lead European customer engagement, develop Advanced Packaging opportunities and align market needs with Product, Engineering, Service and executive management.

Founded protemic as an independent advisory practice for industrial and technology companies. Combined process analysis, data analytics, software development and AI to improve decisions, automate workflows and create scalable digital solutions. Delivered projects in workforce planning, quotation and cost estimation, root-cause analysis, business-model assessment, data-center concepts and model-based construction planning, translating complex requirements into practical solutions.

Founded and scaled itemic AG from a technology start-up into an international industrial software company. Held full responsibility for strategy, P&L, product, organization and global growth. Built and led an organization of up to 40 employees, expanded from APC into MES, entered new industries, integrated an acquired software business, commercialized patented technologies and completed the sale of itemic’s APC assets to ASML in 2011.

Joined equalights as Co-Founder and General Manager to restructure and commercialize an innovative lighting technology business. Held full responsibility for strategy, P&L, organization, product and operations. Built multidisciplinary teams, developed proprietary lighting and backlighting solutions, aligned technology with market needs, and led customer, partner and investor negotiations. Following a strategic review, managed the orderly liquidation when rising production costs made the business unviable.

Started in Infineon’s IT organization before moving into Lithography as a Process Engineer in Metrology. Initiated and led automation solutions for process control, production optimization and engineering decisions in complex high-mix and high-volume manufacturing. Coordinated internal IT, engineers, students and an external software partner. Nominated for Infineon’s management track in 1999, I instead founded a technology company whose APC solutions were later deployed across Europe, the US and Asia.

Developed a LISP-based engineering application that derived technical 2D cutting drawings from 3D sheet-metal models. The solution supported the automated preparation of manufacturing documentation and reduced manual engineering effort in sheet-metal processing. This early international assignment combined mechanical engineering, geometric modelling and software development in an industrial production environment.

Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Design Engineering, Machine Dynamics and Systems Engineering. Already during my studies, I focused on software development, mathematical modelling and engineering automation, complementing my mechanical engineering education with a strong software orientation. Conducted research at ETH Zurich (Bauweisenlabor - Laboratory for Construction and Methods) and participated in an international student exchange program in Canada.
