Debajyoti Adhikari

I was responsible for entire warranty operations in India and other SAARC countries. 2018 ~ Devised and imparted warranty training to users thereby improving their decision-making skills and reducing the rejection rate. Thereafter it was bolstered by Train-The-Trainer modules. 2019 ~ Shifted from central to onsite inspection of failed parts and audits, thereby saving transportation and handling costs. 2020-22 ~ Adopting the work culture by implementing policies and decisions in pandemic scenario.

I chaired a cross functional team of Quality, R&D, Purchase and Service in resolving field complaints, thereby limiting warranty cost and enhancing product reliability. In addition to my role as technical support specialist, I successfully implemented the Fault Management System. However, I am most proud of my presentations at the 2013 Task Force India summit in Munich (which also included visits to the MAN Truck and Bus museums).

While working in this role, I experienced the first-hand challenges of managing big data and presenting them in a compelling manner. My day-to-day activity as a Dealer Development Manager involved evaluating and processing documentation pertaining to new applicants, as well as monitoring dealer performance reports.

I was lucky to combine my passion for travelling with engineering skills to complete on-site service campaigns and product recalls across several Indian states, thus delivering outstanding customer satisfaction. I expended my work days in HO on several projects, such as onboard diagnostics and more notably adopting a defect code catalogue, for clear understanding and FMEA analysis of product complaints.

As a Graduate Entry Trainee based in the Head Office, I was assigned to understand the ongoing service processes and suggest improvements. My biggest satisfaction in this job role was ushering a paradigm-shift among dealer technicians in utilizing the engine OBD tool over traditional troubleshooting methods, resulting in accurate repairs and improving vehicle uptime.
