I am currently leading the business unit delivering V PAY across Europe. V PAY is a debit product launched to penetrate markets dominated by our competitors. It is a success, with over 32 million cards already issued. V PAY will soon move from a product in start-up phase to a mature product. The team consists of 27 people, distributed over various locations. I manage a budget of approximately €6 million.

Before heading the full V PAY team, I was leading the sub-team in charge of business development across Europe. The job consisted essentially in defining and implementing the go-to-market strategy for each country, in cooperation with the Relationship Management teams of the respective markets.

I joined the Debit Products team in order to design and develop V PAY. After a market and competition analysis, I led the product design from 6 perspectives: the product features, the technical design, the product rules, the commercial framework, the governance and the acceptance. During this period I also oversaw Visa Europe’s first steps into the prepaid card market as well as the removal of the Delta brand in the UK.

As Country Manager, I had full responsibility of managing and developing the relationship between Visa and the local banks. I was in charge of strategic and sales planning at national level, involved in national decision committees and sales activity and commercial development at senior level.

Isaserver is a company owned by the Belgian banks. Its mission is to manage a secure banking platform for small, medium and large Belgian companies. In this function, I designed and commercialised modules such as electronic billing or electronic VAT declaration modules.

In this role, I managed the front, middle and back-office of the Internet and Home Banking department of the second largest retail bank in Belgium. This included running a team of 50 people and managing projects such as the transition to the euro or to year 2000.

In this job, I acted as a consultant towards important public sector clients of the bank (city administrations, hospitals...). Missions included credit portfolio optimization.
