Nora von Ingersleben-Seip

The Technical University of Munich (TU Munich) is one of Germany's 11 excellence universities. I'm currently working at the TU Munich's School of Governance on a PhD thesis that, first, assesses current approaches to regulating technologies with network effects in the EU and, second, aims to formulate evidence-based suggestions for technology regulations that foster innovation while maintaining competition.

As MD Thailand, I set up the Bangkok office from scratch, defined the local business model, and held full P&L responsibility for the Thai market. I also successfully applied for the government's BOI certification, resulting in a 5-year income tax exemption. Based on my performance with Thai customers, I led the Customer Success Strategy in Vietnam as well.

As the Group Head of BI & Online Marketing, I led eatigo's online marketing strategy across all platforms, resulting in continuous 30% MoM growth in reservations during my tenure. I also negotiated marketing partnerships across the region and set up a professional reporting structure to track, analyze, and improve key business metrics in advance of eatigo's Series A.

As Director, I led Trends Digital's business development efforts and secured numerous global brands as retainer clients. I also managed key accounts and advised clients across the region, helping to make Thailand the best-performing country in APAC for my key client. Additionally, I coached employees to improve operational excellence during rapid company growth.

As Business Development Manager, I worked closely with the Chief Procurement Officer on high-impact projects such as the successful redesign of KPN's Vendor Management Organization, the corporate strategy plan for the Executive Board, and the introduction of a new software platform for KPN's Dutch, German, and Belgian Procurement organizations.

During the program, I studied in both Fontainebleau and Singapore. I focused mainly on finance, entrepreneurship, and strategy, earning a Blue Ocean Strategy Certificate in addition to my MBA. I also advised Canal+ on digital transformation and participated in many student clubs, including the Women in Business Club and INDEVOR (INSEAD's social impact initiative).

As Policy Analyst, I helped ACT's members shape the policy debate in the US and the EU on some of their most important business issues, e.g. competition rules for internet companies, foreign direct investment guidelines, net neutrality, software patents, and work visas for highly skilled foreigners. I also grew ACT's virtual network for entrepreneurs by more than 1,000%.

As Research Associate, I authored numerous white papers on Internet and technology policy issues. My work was published or quoted by ALEC, CNet, Market Watch by Dow Jones, Politico, TLF, the Wall Street Journal, and many other political and business media outlets. I also briefed the United States Senate on my research on the politicization of foreign direct investment.

As Intern, I helped to manage ACT's 5,000 members globally and took the initiative to set up a monthly communication to the entire membership that analyzed the impact of regulatory and political developments on the IT industry. I also organized seminars for entrepreneurs in six EU countries and convinced high-level political leaders to present at these seminars.

As Intern in the Economics and Science Department, I authored an analysis on German trade policy that was selected for distribution to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture. I also contributed to the annual report on US Science and Technology Policy for the Ministry of Economics and achieved the highest possible grade for my internship performance.
