Leading a team of 16 professionals with 8 direct reports, 2 Team Leads. Responsible for global quality assurance measures related to E&A projects, global exploration budget planning, reporting & performance steering and all New Exploration activities including country entry preparations, evaluation of CO2 sinks (CCS). As part of Global Exploration Leadership Team responsible for annual target setting, personal development, contribution to Balanced Score Card, annual revision of Exploration Strategy.

Heading a newly formed team within New Exploration with the main task to deliver full cycle project evaluations of worldwide business opportunities to senior management / board for decision making, support Wintershall Dea’s Business Units and provide technical support to WD’s M&A department. Those activities have been expanded as a service to the Carbon Management & Hydrogen group where screening studies and evaluations for potential CO2 storage sites in the North Sea (UK) and Baltic Sea are carried out.

Parallel to leading a diverse team of G&G professionals within New Exploration, technical lead / project manager for several projects and responsible for post-acquisition integration of a major project in Mexico

Headed the global New Ventures group (5 direct reports) within DEA's Group Exploration. Assumed the role as a technical valuation Lead for a large acquisition in USA/Mexico and coordinated a multidisciplinary 15-member team for a full cycle technical evaluation, which led to Dea’s the c. US$ 500m acquisition of the company.

Heading the Basin Analysis and Assessment group with its main task to support DEA’s business units by (i) providing regional scale / basin level geoscience assessments (e.g. CRS mapping), (ii) analysis of relevant E&P data and (iii) identifying and evaluating of new acreage and other business opportunities e.g. farm-in opportunities and bid round evaluations.

Headed a regional New Ventures & Exploration group for Africa / Latin America with 5 direct reports. Delivered the successful Farm-In’s / Country entries in Guyana and Suriname (as technical lead)

Member in several G&G project teams; responsible for the architecture and maintenance of a digital seismic and well database as well as data loading (2D & 3D seismic, well data).
